with
the 36th Combat Engineers building bridges as a structural steel
worker and infantry. Five invasions, awarded two purple hearts,
bronze star, medal for marksmanship. Duty included: South Africa,
Italy (Anzio Beach Head), Rome, Southern France and Germany.
