James B. Washington b. 1922 d. 2002 Served in WWII with
the 36th Combat Engineers building bridges as a structural steel worker and infantry. Five invasions, awarded two purple hearts, bronze star, medal for marksmanship. Duty included: South Africa, Italy (Anzio Beach Head), Rome, Southern France and Germany.

Annie Boyce Buchanan and husband Jim Buck Washington in the Florida Everglades. Jim Buck drove a streetcar in Memphis before moving his family to south Florida where he worked in construction.

great-grandson of John C. Washington. In his later years, it seemed that all wildlife loved him.

James Boyce Washington was an ironworker for local #272 in South Florida for more than 50 years and was also a member of the executive board.


James Boyce Washington (sitting), a tourist and father E. "Jim Buck" Washington.  J B was a founding member of the Everglades Conservation and Sportsman's Club in Collier County Florida and served as president for several years.

E. Jim Buck Washington, son of Joseph Albert Washington and Rubie Miller Chrestman of Houlka, MS. Jim Buck was a friend to the Seminole Indians in Florida and was often invited
