According to Benjamin and Andrew Washington our George Washington was born and married in VA to Martha Law, was a cousin to President Washington and had lived down the street from his home before his migration south via Salem NC, Columbia SC, Columbus GA, FL, AL, then ending up in MS. We have never received documentation of any of this other than the family story, but recently have found statement made to an 1880 census taker by George's son John C., that our George was born in GA and wife Martha Law was born in AL.
